Why Do Camp Pendleton
Homeowners LOVE Us?
The installation was efficient, the workers were prompt, and the entire experience went smoothly. Everything was finished the first day we were new residents! I was exceedingly impressed and highly recommend Culligan of Escondido.
Great customer service, love the people here as they’re always super friendly, down to earth, and always willing to provide help as requested. The product has had no issues after several month
Service was great. They were fast and friendly. It is a joy to have cold/hot filtered water and not to have to buy cases of bottled water each week.
The Best Water Softeners and Water Filters in Camp Pendleton.
With this combination of water resources, Camp Pendleton water quality often faces our share of water filtration and treatment issues:
In 2018, the San Diego Union Tribune reported issues at Camp Pendleton and it’s 34 water reservoirs, including rodents rotting on a grate, a dried out frog clinging to a reservoir ladder and another animal carcass floating in treated water, triggering a consent decree between the Marines and federal environmental watchdogs to remedy a decade of shoddy maintenance and inspections of the base’s water system.
Is Camp Pendleton Tap Water Safe To Drink?
Environmental Working group detected 20 contaminants where levels reached above their recommended guidelines. This includes arsenic, bromoform, chloroform, Chromium-6, HAA5, HAA9, nitrates, nitrites, PFBS, PFOS, PFOA, radium, TTHMs, and uranium.
MCB CamPen provides water to the base through two drinking water systems: Northern Water System: Services all areas north of Las Pulgas Road except for the 43 Area and San Mateo Point housing. Wells located in the San Onofre and San Mateo River basins supply water to this water system.
Southern Water System: Services the 43 Area and all areas south and southeast of Las Pulgas Road. Wells located in the Las Pulgas and Santa Margarita River basins supply water to this water system.
